The counsel for Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav Monday informed the court of Special Central Bureau of Investigation judge Pravas Kumar Singh that arguments on behalf of his client be stopped till the high court, before which transfer of a fodder case has been sought to some other special court, gave an order.
"Just because Modi enjoys the patronage of senior BJP leader L K Advani, the opposition leader in the Lok Sabha, the latter cannot escape culpability for the mass murder," Lalu said.
Challenging the order of High Court, the couple contended in their petition that the state government was not competent to file an appeal against the trial court's verdict acquitting them in DA case. Since the case was probed by CBI, so either the Centre or the investigating agency was competent to challenge the CBI court verdict, the petition said.
